TGIF! and ABC's

Woot Woot! Today is the Police concert, Joshua has the night off, and we are going to have a great time!!

I am in a level state today. The last 2 weeks have been great, but have felt on the verge of hypo mania with bouts of lows. I think that I have conquered it. Lack of sleep, speeding speech and thoughts, constant spelling of common words, energized with no apparent activity and anxiety. I have been worried that being excited about the concert would put me in a manic state, but feel more relaxed today then I have in a couple of weeks. Oh the joys of being bi-polar. It's so exhausting to keep track of moods through out the day, what is triggering moods etc. The feeling of calm is taken for granted for some...but not for me. Medication is sometimes the only cure. Joshua is such a blessing to me. He understands me the most. He has stuck with me, even through the absolute worst of times, and when he is physically with me, it is calming. I can't say in words how much I need him to help me stay sane.

Well, I didn't plan on a mental health update, but the words just kept going....see? speeding speech and thoughts:)

Asa is adorable. When he is feeling especially loving, sleepy or has nothing better to say, he says "Ho me" which means hold me. I love those moments when I just hold him and he is still and just sinks into my chest. I know they won't last for long and don't want to take them for granted.

LA Galaxy played last night and we caught the first half before bedtime. Asa loves David Beckhams skills and I love LOOKING at David Beckham, so it's a win win. Asa was ready for bed and so sleepy, and I was rocking him in the rocker. He looks at me and says "I want David Beckham to ho me". I just looked back at him and said "me too".

Asa is starting swimming lessons tomorrow, due to his pleading every day since vacation. After that, off to SPC for more swimming. Thank you Sissy and Uncle Norm for keeping up a pool for us;)

Following is a tag I got from my
dear cousins. It is very unique (thanks girls for something original.) Here goes , my personal ABC's.

A- Asa and ANXIETY! Not meaning that Asa gives me anxiety, those are just the two A's that popped into my head.
B- hmmm, this is tough, what could I put here....oh yea...BEER BEER BEER, BUD LIGHT!!!!

C- Cancer, I had it 16 years ago.
D- Dancing. I could watch Asa do it for hours.
E- Easter, so many fun memories as a child going to Cali to visit family and this Easter when we had Vali home with us in her cute little bunny costume.
F- Family. Frantic. again, not meaning that family makes me frantic.
G- GOD , Grandma and GI Joe's. Asa's fave toys at the moment.
H- Hell, been there a few times.
I- Irritable, thank God for mood stabilizers
J- Joshua, my love. Jasmine, one of my fave smelling flowers.
K- Kathleen, my mom's beautiful name. If we actually had another baby and it was a girl, her middle name would be Kathleen. We're NOT having another baby by the way.
L- Lamictal, best mood stabilizer in the entire world! and lets not forget Lorezapam! ahhh, calm.
M-MANIC!! LOL and Mom. Not that mom makes me manic. Memory, it is horrible since I had Vertigo in 2002/2003.
N- Noon, when I get off work everyday. NO! Vali's fave word.
O-October, the month of Sissy's birthday, the world series and Halloween.
P-Poverty and the Planet. I wish I could fix both. Papa, I love him so much.
Q- Quickly, I'm always saying "QUICKLY BOYS!"
R-REALITY TV! a favorite of mine
S-Sissy! soccer, SUMMER and swimming.
T- Toe, I broke it last summer. (that's for you sissy) Thai food.
U- Underwear. I love love love that Asa is potty trained and able to wear underwear. The little blessings.
V- VALI! Oh how I love my Vali. Vertigo. Debilitating Vertigo.
W-Watches...I love them and have many colors and styles. I just actually horde them because I only wear 3 different ones most of the time. Weekends!
X- X ray....I have had many in my life. The last one a year ago when I broke my toe. (I'm trying not to laugh)
Y- YUM, I love to eat.
Z-zzzzz, sorry if you all fell asleep reading this monster. Zoo. The memory of Asa reading the zoo map will always be with me.

Mandy and Rhonda...wanna try it?

Happy weekend!

SHAKE N' BAKE!

LOVE IT!!! Perfect answers. I'm so happy you have the concert tonight. Hopefully Josh will be better than he was during The Killers. Norm still knows better than to bring that up, it invokes a fight every fucking time. Ugh.
