I am taking a bit of a blogging break and will return to my regularly scheduled posts next week.
I am leaving an Asa story to hold you over until then:)
Sunday we had a great time at Papa's company picnic. The kids had a Jump and Play, squirt guns with a big bucket full of water and a cotton candy machine. Asa had a bit of a melt down, he had a cold and he was very tired. Mom got each of the kids a bag of cotton candy, thinking that would make Asa happy, it didn't. We left, and I took Asa's candy home , knowing that he would straighten up and enjoy it later. He woke up after his 2 hour nap and immediately asked for his cotton candy. I gave it to him and said that since it was a special day, he could eat the entire bag. He was THRILLED!! When Asa eats candy, he doesn't say a word, he just shoves it into his mouth and is very focused until it is gone. Half way though the bag, he asked me "Mumma, is this a lot of sugar?" I said "yes, you are very lucky, it's pure sugar". He is quite for a minute and then asks me "how many grams of sugar is it?" I laughed out loud (I try to keep his sugar consumption at a minimum and when grocery shopping I always read out loud the sugar grams, I guess he has been listening to me). I didn't know but said "probably 100 grams". He answered "WOW, that is a lot of sugar!!!" I loved watching him eat the rest of that candy in silence. He was in heaven.

Kids pick up on the funniest things. I laughed out loud here at my desk when I read he wanted to know how many grams of sugar his cotton candy had. Too cute!
Enjoy your break and I'll be looking forward to your posts next week!
How cute!!!!!!!! That kid is too smart!
ENJOY your Bloggie BREAK! Hope you are doing something FUN!
He is smart as a whip. He listens to everything. You have one smart funny little boy on your hands. Enjoy every minute.
Well, it looks like I'm not the only one who is taking a blogging break. Except I don't know when I'll start again.
What a cute Asa story. He is so funny and adorable.
You should write a book about the stuff Asa says to you. Or at the very least send some of it to Reader's Digest. You could make a fortune! I know people would love to read all the stuff that kid comes up with!
I sure hope you are keeping a book of Asa sayings. I think he is one of the smartest little boys I ever met.
Love your whole family
