TGIF

I wish I could be more excited about today, however, I need to clean my house. Mother has agreed to watch Asa for a bit so I can work more efficiently. Of course, when Asa is home and I am trying to clean, he follows me around like a hawk and asks me so many questions. I try to ignore him, thinking he will go away and play by himself but after 10 more minutes of the same question over and over I then lose my patience, raise my voice and say "I DON'T KNOW WHY THAT POWER RANGER IS RED, HE JUST IS!!!!" THEN, I feel guilty, immediately apologize and then sit and play or read to make up for my impatience. This cycle continues until I put off cleaning altogether. It is total payback from when I was a child. I'm sorry Mom.

I was blessed enough to watch my Vali yesterday afternoon. We ran some errands, including going to the grocery store. Asa ran away from me at the store several times, I chased after him while pushing my cart and Vali squealing "WEE!!!" After catching Asa (he and Vali are giggling ) we continue to shop. I am browsing the meat department and pretty focused. I realize that Asa is has been making his way sideways down the meat cooler and in turn grabbing meat package after meat package , throwing them in the cart and wiping his bloody hands down his pants. I decide that grocery shopping is over and we will leave with out the things I went there for in the first place. We get to the cashier and Asa decides that he is going to cry unless he can lift the 12 packs of soda out of the bottom of the cart and put them on the conveyer belt. I say that it is too heavy and he replies "but Mum Mum, I'm VERY strong and I don't want you to break your toe". I have to smile and even though there is a HUGE line behind us, I let him lift the packs out on his own. No small feat as there were four 12 packs. After 10 minutes and dropping every single 12 pack more than once, he was finally done. Sweating, but done. Even though I had to endure dirty looks and heaving sighing, it was all worth it. I am proud of my boy.

Sunday is Papa's annual company picnic. I am very excited to go as Asa is going to have a great time. 2 years ago, they had a big bucket filled with water with squirt "blasters", water balloons, face painting and a clown. Sissy is very excited to see the clown.

Well, another family fun filled fiesta weekend for us!!

Good grief girl! I've been waiting all morning for your TGIF post! :0) Please make sure to get a picture of Cameo WITH the clown. I know how much it will mean to her!

Who invented clowns and thought they'd be great for kids?!! They are SO SCARY (and not just to kids) and it's hard for me to find a person who doesn't think so!

Asa your hero. He saved your toes.
I can't believe he used that reason to get you to allow him to load the cases of drinks onto the checkout belt. He is so funny and smart.
