Gettin' better

Everyday seems to be better then the one before....not saying that I don't cry at least a few times a day, but things are becoming routine again after vacation. I just realized that not only does Asa need a daily routine, but I do too. It helps me stay balanced.

Weekend update:

Friday-Asa and I planted some bedding plants that he had picked out and we planted my new herb garden. Later, Mom came over and we drank Margarita's in the backyard. It was sunny, but a bit chilly. It's JUNE and it didn't get over 65 degrees this weekend (see I'm still a complainer right now) It's a treat to have Mom to myself, and I enjoyed her a great deal Friday evening. After that, I was feeling a bit blue (alcohol?) and cried a bit with Asa. We just danced and sang to VH1 video's and watched Hairspray. Neither one of us had seen it. We both agreed that it was a good movie. He is still on vacation schedule, going to bed late, and sleeping in.

Saturday-We tagged along with Sissy to Grandma Sandi's for lunch. It was nice to see Lori and the family. It had been a while. Asa had a great time with Jessica's boys and they were so sweet to Asa. They played with him the entire time, and he was so sleepy on the way home. He feel asleep in the car and took a 3 hour nap! I should have napped too, but he usually take little naps and figured I wouldn't get to sleep anyway. I'll know better next time. I did make the most of my time and watched Spiderman 3. I felt a bit naughty watching a PG13 movie. LOL Needless to say, Asa woke up at 7pm. We watched Hairspray....again. We didn't get to sleep until midnight. Asa said to me as we were headed to bed "Mum, am I lucky that I get to stay up late?"

Sunday-Asa woke me up and the first thing he told me was "HAPPY FATHERS DAY MUM!". We headed over to Sissy's for coffee and watched Hairspray....AGAIN, and got the kids ready there. Later, the King woke up, and we headed to the Outback for dinner. We had a nice time, but Asa keep saying he was too sleepy and wanted to go home to go to bed....UNTIL we got home, and then he got his second wind. Asa asked Josh if he could watch Josh play "not age appropriate video games". Josh was happy to oblige.

Monday is here. Work is still butt....but oh well. It's my routine right?

Joshua's company picnic is at the zoo next Saturday and I can't help start getting excited because Asa is just beside himself with excitement! His eyes just light up and he gasps when he realizes that it's getting1 day closer every day. He is earning money by being a good boy so he can buy whatever he wants (with what money he has) at the zoo. He had his own spending money at the flea market on vacation, and he spent it wisely. He was patient and walked the entire market and then decided what he wanted at the end. Even if it meant walking FOREVER back to the vendor. I was really proud of him and he even has money left over. Now if I could just take my own advise on my own money matters.

I'm curious as to what surprises my afternoon will bring. I am being optimistic, the day is sunny, and Josh is home. I would like to accomplish a project, but have not had much energy, mentally or physically. We will see.....

One can never go wrong with Margarita's, especially when shared with one's mother. :-)

I love Hairspray!

The zoo this weekend sounds like it will be lots of fun!
