We had a busy, but great weekend. We went to Grandma Eleanor's for lunch on Saturday and Asa played with his cousin, and got worn out, running up and down stairs for about 3 hours. Sunday, Asa and I went to our first Hadassah training wheels meeting. Very nice group of girls, and only 5 kids including Asa. I probably had more fun than Asa did;) Focus was Purim. We did crafts, sang, were told stories of Esther, and had treats. Next month, the class will focus on Passover. We (Josh, Asa and I) were invited for Seder next month, and it's my first. I can't wait!!! From what I understand, there's a lot of wine drinking!! LOL
Asa starts soccer on Saturday. I can't imagine that there is that much "soccer" involved when we're talking 3 1/2 year olds. I can't help but laugh to myself......I'm pretty sure Asa will have the biggest entourage of all the kids. I hope there is enough parking at the park!!! We are all nuts. Valentina is even having hair bows made with soccer balls on them for his games. NUTS!
I cried for quite sometime last night. Asa is growing so quickly, and I hope that I'm not pushing him, or expecting too much from him. He is such a sweet boy (with the exception of a Valentina pushing or punching from time to time) I dread the day when he is whisked away from me by another woman. He told me yesterday out of the blue that I am his best friend. I wish it could stay like that forever.
There is a couple of familes that need extra special prayer and good thoughts sent their way. They are both going through so much turmoil.
At training wheels on Sunday, there was talk amongst us girls, that we were to get our kids used toys that are no longer needed, and get them ready to give them to a charity of our choice. Apparantly Asa heard, and told me last night in bed, after we prayed that we needed to get busy and start getting toys ready to give away to another boy. My heart just melted. I'm surprised I still have a heart, as it has been melting for quite some time.
Valetina is doing so good. I miss her when I'm a work, and love to see her face when I walk in her door after I get off work. She just gets stiff as a board and squeals and claps. How great is that for an entrance???? She is so close to walking. I guess in a couple of days that she will be running around. She runs "sideways". It's the funniest thing. She is used to walking the length of the couch, because that's what she hold on to when she walks. So when I take her walking around the house, she is quicker going sideways than front ways. She is also so adorable when Asa and I leave her house, she reaches for me and crys for me. I'm sure she stops as soon as I shut the door, as she is quite manipulative, but it still makes me feel loved and special. Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE BEING AN AUNT!! It kicks so much ass.
Tomorrow Asa finally goes to the doctor for his chronic watering and infections in his eye. I told him that he may have to have surgery to get it fixed, and he seemed very positive. It bothers him a lot, burning and itching. I can't wait until his eye isn't red and runny all the time.
Finally. I was talking to Josh yesterday to get approval for soccer, and explaining the cost, and if we could afford the class, the accesories etc. After our conversation, I registered Asa. Last night before bed, Asa and I went to Fred Meyer to price soccer stuff. As we were looking at the soccer stuff, Asa says to me, "are all these things too expensive Mum Mum?" " Can we afford to register me for soccer?" I cracked up. Every one at the store knows that I think everything is too expensive and that we had to cough up the money for soccer. Since we were at the store, we had to look at clothes for Valentina. Asa was quite a sight. He had his pj's and rubber boots on ( one thing that always grossed me out pre child was kids in public with pj's and/or rubber boots, oh times have changed!) He kept pulling clothes out saying "MOM, did you see this outfit for Valentina? It's only $8. and size 22! Just Valentina's size!" Hilarious.

I love our children so much too! I too, feel that our family is complete. You know, I was feeling a bit overwhelmed when Valentina first came home, shocking, I know! LOL. But it just feels right now. I'm so glad we have our kids! Perfection!
How wonderful that you all have eachother!
Asa is such a sweet little boy. And Valentina is so adorable. Hope you all have a great time at soccer. There is a soccer field across from my parents, so we've seen all different ages out there playing. Love you!
