TGIF....whew

Today is a much better day.

After poo stories from others, I'm feeling more confident in my poo parenting skills. I didn't realize how consuming it would be. I'm mentally exhausted, and can't imagine how Asa must be feeling. Yesterday/last night, NO ACCIDENTS! He eventually went poo in the potty. He cried and cried, as it was very painful. Remember, he had held it for almost 3 days. He was so incredibly proud of himself, and had to call Beya and Papa to tell them. He asked for his cupcake first thing afterward;) This of course was after 3 hours of going on and off the potty. WHEW!

Mom and Papa are on their way out of town, and taking Asa overnight. I'm so happy! I get 24 hours of no poo drama, and am going go sleep as much as I can. What a treat.

I went to Sissy's yesterday afternoon to pick up Asa and ended up hanging out with Vali, Sissy, Uncle Norm and Mom for a while. Asa has become a pro at riding the big wheel, and getting pretty good at the scooter. It's a little scarier than the big wheel. Vali on the other, does great on the scooter. She just stands so still. I don't know if she likes it, or is terrified, but I take her on it anyway. A girl from the neighborhood stopped by Sissy's while we were hanging out outside. She was about 8 years old or so, and asking us if we wanted to buy some pepperoni sticks. I at first said no. Then mom asked how much. Only $1.00. Asa then said "I think I have a dollar in my wallet. I think I can do that". He asked me to get his wallet, he pulled out a dollar, and handed it to the girl. She asked if he wanted pepperoni, or teriyaki. He said pepperoni. As they exchanged goods, Asa says thank you. He looked so grown up. Uncle Norm pulled out $2.0o and asked Asa to get 2 teriyaki. Asa got the $2.00 and ran to the girl and said "Uncle Norm will take 2 tewiwakis". You probably needed to be there to see how adorable it was, but it really was. We are suckers for door to door salesmen.

I'm really hoping that I will get proactive and have a garden this year. Just a small one. I know it will be a lot of work, but think it will be fun, for Asa and I to do together. He is into veges now, and asks to eat them on a regular basis. I had seen on tv that it takes roughly 10 times of putting veges in front of a child, and they will eventually eat it. Even though they reject 10 times, it will happen. Asa is proof that it happens. I also have him help me cook them, and I think that has helped too.

Still no word on a wedding for us. Josh and I definetly have different ideas for what we want. I want to go away, just the 3 of us, and Josh is on the fence. Sissy regrets not having a wedding. I had a wedding with my ex, and it doesnt' seem that important to me. Over rated. I keep thinking we could use the same money to put up a new fence, make improvements on the house etc.

Mom told such a funny story about her and papa and some ailments that they have had, and she HAS to blog it on Beya's blog. Please comment or email her to get he motivated to tell the story. I laugh every time I think of it. I would post it, but it will be funnier if she does.

I have blahed enough. SHAKE N BAKE!
