Whirlwind

This whole thing started a week ago last Sunday....all because of an upcoming OBGYN appointment tomorrow.

While our family was at Papa's company picnic, I was mentioning to Sissy that we were thinking of having another baby, but we would want to start right away as I will be turning 40 next year. I was telling her that my Dr appointment was coming up and I was going to talk with him about my medications and safety with having a baby. As I was talking with her, I said "ya know? I think we should be married before I get pregnant". As you all know, Joshua gave me an engagement ring in December. Since then, we have been going back and forth on what type of wedding, where, when, Justice of the Peace, backyard, etc etc.....We have never been able to agree. With Joshua's work schedule he has a 2 day weekend twice a month, otherwise he only has 1 day off. On Sunday, after the picnic and watching the end of the Olympics, I TOLD Josh "If we having another baby, we need to get married next week. I have my doctors appointment in 2 weeks. You have a 3 day weekend and why not get married at the courthouse. We can get our permit on Tuesday". He looked at me and said "sure". WHAT????? He called my bluff. Needless to say, I was on the phone with Grama Sandi checking to see if her pavilion would be available. It was. OK THEN, let's throw this thing together.....Mom came over later that afternoon and I blurted "we're getting married next Sunday....." Mom just looked kind of shocked and said "What made you decide this????" I told Mom what I have just told all of you.

All of it went OK, because of such short notice, not many were able to attend, but we made the best of it. We had a great time and I couldn't have done it with out Mom, Papa, Sissy, Norm, Sandi and Rod. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for making our wedding so special. It was the best day of our lives. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world and felt like a princess. It was raining and outside, but everyone came prepared and we all had fun.

My doctors appointment is tomorrow:)

Now for some pictures. (Sissy has been waiting for this post, because she has WAY more pictures than I do to post. Here ya go Sissy, you have the green light)

Sissy's adorable family. Vali was crying for Beya.... "bobbi, bobbi!!"
I walked Papa down the aisle.
Asa and I doing our dance to "Escape". It's been our dance for a long time, thanks to Holly:)

Our cake

Josh said that my watch over powered my ring. (Thank you aunt Margo, I love my watch)
My gorgeous Sissy

Brice, Joshua's cousin. He officiated the wedding.
Cousins from Alaska. I love you all so much. They drove a 5 hour trip that day for the wedding, and after the wedding, they drove 5 hours back.
Hamming it up. I couldn't keep my hands off my husband. He was incredibly handsome. I love you so much Joshua.

Mom and I had the same hair....Kind of funny...but not. LOL
Sissy was so sweet and showed up at the salon for pictures and surprised me by paying for my do. Thank you Sissy.
Our traditional family photo. Is this sufficient Andrea?
My dear friend Danita. I'm so happy that you were able to come. I love you.

My groom and me.
Papa and Vali. She wasn't very happy at that moment. She wanted Bobbi. I have taught her to bonk her head with her fist and lay back and go "Ohhhhhh". Ya know, like the V8 commercial. I bonked my head and she laughed and then she followed suit. At least I made her smile for me. Joshua's mom and Grandpa.
It was a perfect day for us. We are so in love and as silly as it seems, even after being together for 7 years, we feel different for each other. We are so happy together.
Wish me luck.....my doctors appointment is tomorrow:)

I just have to tell everyone that yes, Trina was radiant! She was so happy and I cried and cried at the vows. Okay, I cried and cried the whole time! Josh was also radiantly happy. He had the most tender, warm, heartfelt vows ever. It was truly a wedding full of love, magic and happiness. I've never been part of a wedding where everyone was so happy!!! Even though it did downpour 45 minutes before the ceremony and sissy had to walk down her outdoor "aisle" under an umbrella, it was a blue umbrella for her something blue! It was wonderful and I wish everyone could have been there. I'm so proud and honored to have part of it.
