What a busy non-stop week. I have nothing to show for it, but it was busy none the less. I was unable to blog while I was at work today (sigh) so that is why this TGIF is so late. I know you are all waiting for me to post all morning:) A few highlights...
Planning Asa's birthday party. It's Power Rangers theme. I can't believe that he has morphed from an Elmo birthday party theme for his 1st birthday to today, Power Rangers. He changes on me constantly and has started "huffing" at me when I ask him to do a chore. I laugh out loud and that makes him even more huffy. He tells me to stop laughing because it's making him very frustrated. LOL
He has been asking me for a blue Power Rangers costume for a few months now, all the while knowing that he was going to get it for his birthday. After going to Wal Mart yesterday they had one!!! I got it for him for his Halloween costume and it will double as a birthday costume too. OK, now...I said it would double as his birthday outfit too, however I didn't know that he would wear it 24 hours a day until his birthday. He LOVES it. He looks so cute in it and I told mom today that "yea, we think it's cute..it's only been on him for 24 hours...wait another 2 weeks and it won't be so cute". I took Valentina and Asa on errands this afternoon and Asa wore it running errands. 2 boys at the grocery store yelled "Hey blue Power Ranger! You're COOL!!" Asa did a Power Ranger move and they boys waved as we walked out of the store. Asa had the biggest smile ever. Pretty cute, but I was still shaking my head thinking I would never have thought I would have a kid running around in a costume while running errands.
2 nights ago Asa and I walked to a family restaurant that is a few blocks away from our house. Joshua had gone to work and it was a beautiful night. As we were walking, Asa said that he loved our adventures. We sat down and the server came and took our order. As the server was leaving Asa said "it's on one ticket please".
Asa's first fall soccer game is tomorrow and I'm so excited. I hope he doesn't insist on wearing his costume.

Yes, I've been waiting all day for this. We've been busy with nothing to show for it as well. Sounds like Asa's birthday party is going to be fun. Wish we could be there to celebrate with you guys. Love you!
Asa is such a trip. Do you sometimes feel like you have a man inside that little boy body? He comes up with the darnest things. He is too cute.
Oh sissy, where to begin? First off, THANK YOU for taking Valentina today! The 10 minutes I slept while you were one were seriously the most refreshing 10 minutes IN MY LIFE! No joke! And Asa in a costume, who ever would have dreamt that first, you'd have a boy, second, that you would let him wear a costume more than a month before Halloween and third, that you would think a Power Ranger cute!
Ahhh Asa is morphing into the blue power ranger~ be thankful it is not papa smurf then you would really be in trouble.. Your son is so cute, I love the "this is on one ticket please" you should have handed him the money to pay the tab that would really make the waitress wonder. Are you doing cupcakes for his bithday party? you could use wiltons frosting and frost the tops in the power ranger colors.. Just make alot of blue ones as it sounds like he is a favorite among the younger set these days. Hey at least he is not wanting to wear rubber rain boots 24-7 even in 100 degree heat.

My grandson is just the cutest!! When he comes and gives me a kiss on the arm, he just melts my heart. He sure is the cutest power ranger ever!!!!
