HOORAY! I have my kiddo back and have another fun weekend ahead of us. Nothing planned, but we will probably all hang out, Josh doesn't have to work tomorrow, Aunt Anita will be visiting and all is good.
Mom and Papa dropped off Asa around 6pm and I was so happy to see him. He has never been away for 2 nights before. I got kind of emotional. He is getting so big and independent. He did miss me though and wanted me to "ho me" quite a bit last night. He kept calling me Beya, and never corrected himself and I thought it was pretty cute. At about 10pm, he sat on my lap, told me to turn off the lights and asked me to put my hand on his tummy. I asked him if his tummy hurt, he said no, I just want to feel your hand on my tummy. sigh.....The little things that make life and child rearing so worth it.
Yesterday, Sissy and I had a bit of a Sissy day. Neither one of us had our kiddo's. We met for lunch, then dessert at Cold Stone and sat outside. It was so peaceful. Then off to a boutique we like to go to every so often when we are in the area. Beautiful things, HUGE price tags. Very fun to look and dream though. I love the times I share with Sissy. I said some hurtful things to Sissy the other day, without thinking first. I hate it when I do that. I have learned a lot, and I'm sorry Sissy for the hurt I caused you. You are so important to me, and I'm grateful that you are in my life so closely and appreciate all that you do for me and Asa. Never forget that. No matter what dumb thing I say.
I'm very glad to have Mama and Papa back home where they belong. Asa and I are going to Goldendale with them for a short vacay next week. I am hoping that I can help them get some errands that need to be done and enjoy myself as well. It will be peaceful and Asa will love it. He is quite the country boy out there. PLUS I get 2 days out of the HOLE!
Josh and I watched the first episode of a mini series on HBO called Generation Kill. It is based on the true stories of a Rolling Stone writer that was embedded with a marine battalion during the initial US invasion of Iraq. How little information us American's know about what really happens there and what is expected of our boys there. Educating, emotional, funny and chilling. It covers it all. Try it sometime.
Well, another weekend is about to begin for me and I am excited to see what funny things my Asa and Valentina will be learning, doing and saying. Life is perfect with them in our lives. How am I so lucky????

I love hearing the stories of Asa. He is so precious. I love the put your hand on my tummy. Just needed that special MUM MUM touch. So glad you got to spend some time with Cameo without kids. I personally think it should be a once a week thing at least. Maybe the 3 of you. I know someone who would love to have the kids. Hint hint. Hope to see you this weekend.
