TGIF

I got off work early today to go with Sissy for her MRI review. She is ok, however, her bulging disks are pushing into her spine. Hopefully there will be a solution to her pain someday soon. She is so strong and brave....she is my hero.

After that, we picked up the kiddo's (thank you Grama) and went on our merry way. SHOPPING! I did some shopping at my pharmacy:) Then we went to Kohls, and Sissy found many treasures. I have been looking for matching brown summer shoes for the kids, and just not happy with anything I find. I've been wanting to get them Converse for a while, so I'm just gonna do it this weekend. They will be adorable.

As usual, I loved spending some quality time with my Sissy. I miss her so much sometimes...we get caught up in the kids, and just don't have time for each other, but shopping and lunch always gets us connected again. I miss her, and I just SAW HER! Love you Sissy, and thanks for a wonderful day. We did miss Mom though. She has been with Grandma for a couple days. Please pray/keep good thoughts for our family right now. We are feeling a big melancholy.

I wanted to share Tapioca pudding with Asa this afternoon. He's never had it. He DOES notice texture in food, and has a bad gag reflex...so I wasn't sure it was going to be a hit or miss. I made it seem like it was a treat, that we were going to share some pudding. I gave him a big mouthful of it, and his face soured up. I thought he was going to choke it up, but he just smacked his cheeks together and looked lemon face. After he was done, he said "I don't like Tapioca pudding Mum Mum....the balls aren't delicious."

I don't think that I'm mentioned lately that I'm SICK OF SOCCER!!!!! I love my kid, and want him to be happy with his hobbies, but this is ridiculous. I tried to play Matchbox cars, and jet airplanes....nope...."play soccer with me Mum Mum". Not only does he like to play soccer, but he loves the soccer games on TV. He mimics the players. I'm looking forward to the Olympics this year, hopefully he'll find interest in another sport.

I'm feeling a bit better from my cold. Asa and Valentina are great now, just some snotty noses.

I bought new toothbrushes for all of us yesterday, and I was opening up my toothbrush from the package, and it was really hard to open! I kept pulling and ripping...and all of a sudden it flew up in the air, and it seemed like it was in slow motion. I saw it go UP, and it flew into the toilet! LOL No, I didn't use it, but I had already thrown my old one in the garbage, so I was in a pickle.

I have just now sighed a relief for the weekend. Mom is on her way home to us, and we really need to be with each other. I'm so thankful for my family and hope to never take it for granted.

Have a wonderful and peaceful weekend.

Cheers!

Sissy, I had so much fun with you too! Even though lunch SUCKED!!!! Instead of whatever the name of the restaurant is, it should be called SHC! Norm found the big bag from Kohls and asked what all I had bought. I had no idea, I couldn't remember all the crap I had bought. How bad is that? You should have video'd Asa trying the tapioca!

Dear Trina,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma. She is at rest but the ones left behind are still in pain. I will be praying for peace and comfort for all of you.
Love you!
