Weekend Update

Saturday was another soccer game. We got BEAT! (we're not supposed to keep score, but oh well) It was probably 10-0. It was freezing cold and our coach had to work that day, so we had a sub. The kids still had fun. A couple of the girls wouldn't play and their parents kept coaching them to just play a bit. It had me chuckling knowing that their kids don't always listen and do what their parents are asking of them....just like Asa. It made me feel normal. After that, we went to sissy's and loaded up on grilled cheese sandwiches and soup.

Saturday night, Josh and I had our Passover Seder date night. It was really cool. The food wasn't good. Neither one of us enjoy Jewish cuisine.....if you can call it that. The desserts rocked though. I feel like we could host our own Seder next year, and make it our own. It was different than Joshua remembered it being, and thought this one was geared to have more fun, and much more child participation. It lasted 3 1/2 hours, and was getting a bit long, as it was past my bedtime. We picked up our sleeping child and then got home, put Asa to bed and finished our date like we always do:) WATCHING BATTLESTAR GALACTICA!

Yesterday we had a family fun day. We went to Red Robin and had a great dinner. Asa was a perfect gentleman and ordered his food (before I could even read him the menu. ) He told the server "I would like the mac and cheese please" She then asked what he would like as his side, melons...carrots....salad... Asa replied "mmmm, french fries, and I want a vanilla milkshake with whipped cweam, spwinkles and chocolate". She looked a bit confused and said "chocolate sprinkles? he said "no...just wegular spwinkles with chocolate syrup on top." Josh and I just shook our heads and the server couldn't stop laughing at Asa. Asa had no idea what was so funny. We then went to Target, the boys got an indoor R/C helicopter and played with it and then we played Go Fish for about an hour. Asa kicks our BUTT! It was a great night. Josh and I finished off by watching "I Am Legend". TERRIFYING!

I have another cute Asa story and then I promise I will stop! Mom got pulled over in FRONT of our house Thursday night. (she'll have to tell you why, but no handcuffs were used:) Since then, Asa has been worried that we are going to get a ticket. I explained to him that policeman don't just hand out tickets, but they protect us too. I told him that if he ever got lost, or couldn't find us, that he can always go to a police officer for help. I quizzed him, by asking for his full name, age and phone number. He knew that stuff. Then I asked him, that if the police asked what his parents names were. It went like this...I asked him "whats your dad's name?" Daddy. "whats your moms name?" Mum Mum. "NO ASA, our REAL names." Daddy P and Sweetie P . We both laughed. Joshua NEVER calls me T, it's always Sweetie. When all 3 of us play Go Fish, Asa will ask me "Sweetie, do you have a Manta Ray?" When it's just Asa and I, he says mum mum. What a fun family I have:) oops, I guess that was 2 stories.

Mom and Papa are in Goldendale for the next couple of days. I'm hoping that they can get a bit of peace and quiet. They work so hard when they are here with us.
