TGIF...FOR REALS!

What a difference a week makes. I kind of had a bad attitude, looking back on my post last Friday. I woke up feeling refreshed and excited for our weekend. I'm sure the forcast for 75 degrees the next 2 days doesnt hurt either.

I am reading a parenting book "Setting Limits with your Strong Willed Child". A few of the tips have worked, and of course changed ME and my actions with Asa. This week has seemed a bit less challenging, and I'm feeling competant as a mother again. Asa and I had a great night last night. He laid on my lap and we watched Survivor together. He's starting to know the characters and tells me which one he wants to go home. We never agree, but am kind of proud of that. He has a mind of his own, and his own opinions. I've really changed my attitude and it's making me a happier Mum Mum.

I had been having some personal struggles this week, and finally talked to Joshua about them, and feel so much better and free. That too has made me feel like a better partner.

Tomorrow is Soccer game day and I'm snack mom. SNACK MOM!!! 5 years ago I would have shuddered at the thought of being one of "those" moms. Now, it's the highlight of my week. My family is so involved too, that it makes it that much more fun. Mom, thank you for talking me into being a mom. My life is so complete, and thank God I changed as a person.

Tomorrow night is a boxing main event, Gomez vs. Cotto. In our family, boxing is in our blood. Not really age appropriate, but I make an exception. Asa can't watch GH, but boxing is ok.....hehehe GO GOMEZ!

Sunday Asa and I have Training Wheels. I'm second guessing the whole Jewish thing. I started it because Asa didn't have any interaction with other kids, but now that he loves soccer, and we do our OWN crafts at home, I'm not sure this is going to be for us. I guess we'll see, and pray about it too.

Today, it is a gorgeous day, and I plan on taking my Vali and Asa on a long walk today. Asa will ride his trike with his helmet. It's pretty funny, he tries to go as fast as he can and race...but it's pretty hard to go fast when the wheels are only 6 inches in diameter:) I guess it's PRETTY fast, because I have to walk pretty fast to keep up with him.

Oh, yesterday was Asa's pre op appointment. His surgery is next Thursday and I'm a bit anxious, but know that it has to be done. I will accept and appreciate all prayers and good thoughts.

Cheers to a wonderful and safe weekend for all!

SHAKE N BAKE Y'ALL!

Staying up all night "watching Jordan breath".... Places you never thought you would be 16 years later......sitting on the sidelines at your own childs soccer game in the freezing cold rain....Oh how times change........you will have to share with blog-land....some of those fun stories.....Have a Great weekend!!! So glad to hear you are doing better. You are always in my prayers. I love having Asa come and visit and when we get comfortable enough maybe he can come and visit when V comes. So far I have 2 afternoons a week as a promise. You are so loved and respected. Keep the faith.
