What a busy week. Everyone (but Mom and Papa) is feeling better from the terrible flu that we have all had. It's a STINKER of a flu. I have so much drainage from my head, that it's running down my throat (been like this for a week) and I feel like I am choking and can't breathe. It sounds a bit dramatic. But true.
Mom and Papa are babysitting Asa tonight. I'm looking forward to it. Josh and I haven't had alone time in about 3-4 weeks. We have reservations at 8pm for dinner, and I'm pretty excited. It's our first date out in about 6-8 weeks. I'm calling this our Valentines dinner, since Asa and I were deathly ill that week.
Went to the doctor with Sissy, Vali and Asa yesterday. Even though it was a Sissy doctor appointment, we had a great time afterward, spending over and hour at Target buying necessities, and then going to Red Robin for and early dinner. It was delicious, and our kids were so good. Vali is kind of scary to eat with, because she pretty much chokes on something while eating. Her eyes well up with tears and then her face gets red, when that happens, Sissy rushes to lift up one arm, (does that really help clear the throat?) and then just gets in her face and asks Vali if she is breathing. Of course, Vali is usually ok, and then give us a cough and then we are sure she is breathing. During dinner, mostly 80s,90s music is on. Vali just loves putting 1 arm in the air and gives it a pumping action. When you see people at concerts and they have their arm in the air and giving that pumping action? Well that's what Valentina does. It's pretty cute. Asa is quite the opposite and wiggles his butt, and pumps his body side to side from the feet. Just moving his upper body, not bending at the knees. They are kick ass dancers. Just like their moms;)
Mom is still very ill. I feel so sorry for her, but apparantly I laugh every time I talk to her when I ask her how she is doing. I guess I know her answer is going to CRAPPY, like is has been every day for over a week. Like I said, it's a stinker of a flu.
Too much drama at work the last couple of days, don't really want to talk about it anymore since it is Friday, but hoping ya'll feel sorry for me because of it. POOR ME
I think it's safe to say that Asa is totally "pee" potty trained. Still no action on the "poo". He has never gone on the potty. He is making progress though. I'm a pretty tough trainer lately. Lori, reading books has seemed to help him get relaxed while sitting on potty. Good advice that I have finally put into action. I'm hoping this weekend will be poo fulfilling.
OK, ending this with my thoughts on my TV viewing this past week. Paradise Hotel, LOVE IT. Josh isn't home much in the evenings when I watch my trash, and gives me a hard time about it any chance he can, because he knows what I watch, via the DVR, which he checks on a regular basis. Remember, he is Mr Science, History and Discovery channel man. NOT ME! I started watching Paradise hotel one night (after Asa was in bed, NOT age appropriate) Josh sat next to me, complaining that I was watching CRAP and theatened me that if the channel was not changed, he would watch tv in the office. (This threat is usually ignored.) I promised him that I would allow the tv to be changed after a few minutes of viewing Paradise Hotel. WELL, he got sucked into it, and needless to say, he watched the entire episode of it. After it was over, he quickly said "Thank you sweetie, I actually rotted my brain during that hour". He is probably right. Other high lights of my TV viewing for the week....Big Brother, Nip/Tuck (shocking), Survivor, GH and lets not forget Make Me Super Model. We watched Lost last night, and every time we watch it, we are so disgusted at the end of the episode (MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS EVERY EPISODE!) we promise to each other that we will never watch it again. Until next week comes along, and we can't wait to see what happens in the next episode. Those darn previews.

I feel for you and can relate to a bad few days at work! Enjoy the weekend!!
aren't you going to change your tagline to "Magic Man, now you see him, now you don't".
I'm glad the books help and another benefit is that the more you read to him the better reader HE will be in school! So good things all around! heehee Every time I see him and hear about him he makes me think of Timmy at that age. So sweet and sensitive. I miss that age!
Love you guys!
