We've been having so much fun with Valentina, therefore the lack of posts. Everyday after Asa and I get ready for the day, we head on over to sissy's to see our Valentina, (and of course sissy and mom:) She greets every day with a huge smile. She is so wonderful. She not only doubles our fun, but add's more than I'd ever imagine. I love being an auntie. She is warming up to Asa and will actually look at him and smile and coo. He adores her and can't wait to get over there every day to see her.
Last Friday sissy took me out for my cancer anniversary. We had a great time with the KIDS!! Never had a better time for my anniversary. We had a great meal at Henry's Tavern downtown, and spent the afternoon shopping. Portland was so beautiful and lit up for the holiday. It was bliss.
The weekend was great as Josh didn't have to work Saturday night. We went to Peacock Lane in Portland. All the houses on the street have Christmas light displays and people walk down the street and or drive. We walked. It was opening night, and it was just standing in line on the sidewalks. Josh described it best and said it was like waiting in line at the grocery store. Asa liked it, but enjoyed all 3 of us being together the most. He held our hands and just kept looking at us and saying "Mum mum, daddy". It melted my heart.
Last night Asa went to bed at 8pm, and was up at 11pm. He came into the living room and asked if Santa had been here yet. I said it was in a week. He then told me that he was going to cry when Santa comes because he will be so happy! I have such a sweet kind boy.
I hope that everyone is enjoying the holiday season. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and so happy to have Valentina in our lives. I look at her and she gives such new meaning to blessed and fortunate. Her smile is pure and I love to see her sparkle in her eyes. I love our kids!!!
