Asa is 3

What a fun day we had yesterday for my little boy's birthday. I came home from work and stoppped and got him a balloon boquet and a new little bat and ball to keep at sissys. He was just thrilled to come to the door and see all his balloons. He squealed and ran around saying it was his birthday. I'm glad he felt special for being so young. I always did at my birthdays, mom made sure of that. Thank you mom.

We got ready for dinner, and Asa hadn't taken a nap. He told me as we were laying in bed, that "it's my birthday and I just want tohave fun with you and dad". Well, I caved and we got up from bed, no nap. He couldn't have been any better at dinner. we had drinks, appetizers, salads, and dinner and dessert, and he sat still the whole time and really enjoyed his dinner. I am so proud of him. AND NO NAP! Maybe he's done with naps. who knows. I have photos to post, but probably not until the weekend. So many cute ones.

Last night we got home around 7:40 and wanted him to wind down and get ready for bed, I wanted to watch Top Model. well, he wasn't going to slow down, so I read him the new Curious George story book that sissy got him yesterday. It's such a cute book. I loved reading it to him. we read, and before I knew it it was 8:40pm and we were both pretty sleepy. I took him to his room and he asked me to lay with him, which I did. as we were laying and yawning and yawning, he put his hand on my cheek and said he loved me. I cried a tear. what love I have for him. He is such a sweetie. He fell asleep and I watched him sleep for quite some time. He is getting big so fast and I dont' want to forget this part of his life. off he subject a bit, but as he ws laying there on the bed, on his back, his tummy was HUGE from all the food that he had eaten. He just had on a white t, and legging pajama pants. Josh came in to look at him lovingly and all of a sudden said "Look at Asa's tummy, he looks like william shatner!!" I said WHAT?????? I guess the pj's looked like a costume from Star trek. so wierd.

We are having another birthday party at our house for Asa on Saturday for a few more family members with birthday cake. He will like that as well. Well, I have bragged about my son enough now. I will post photos later in the week, or weekend.
