I made home made mini corn dogs yesterday. I LOVE corn dogs, but not store bought, microwave ones. Fair made corn dogs, with thick batter with the sweet bits of cornmeal. My favorites have always been veggie corn dogs, but I have learned to love the yummy kosher dogs too. I did a great job for my first time and next time they will be perfect. When I cook something new, Joshua says I have a sparkle in my eye when I "serve" them their new meal to try. Yesterday was no exception. Asa looked skeptical, but squirted out his ketchup getting ready to try. He said "here I go Mum!". I waited, so excited for the verdict. Asa swallowed and stood up and saluted me and said that they were deeeeeeeelicious. SWEET! Home run for Mum. When I have made something he doesn't particularly like, he says "don't give up Mum, try try try and you will succeed". He's only 4. Well, Asa asked for mini corn dogs for dinner today. He ate one and said to me "Mum, these are the best mini corn dogs and the more I eat, the more I am a maniac."
Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday and my husband told asked me something that brought tears to my eyes. He asked me if I would like to go to my favorite bar/club tomorrow for Fat Tuesday. I'm giddy just writing that. Joshua isn't a big bar/club/social guy, so I know that he is doing this for me. He reminded me to get the beads ready. We have collected hundreds of beads (Danita, do you still have beads????) from previous years of celebrating at the same bar we have gone to in the past. I'm not quite the party girl now that I'm pushing 40. We don't drink all night, we don't bar hop, instead I'll be checking my watch to make sure I'm home to watch Nip/Tuck. Bars, beer and TV. All in one night. Somebody pinch me.

Whoo Hoo on the mini corn dogs. I love corn dogs too. You really are having a good time with the cooking lately. Asa is such a great support of his Mum. Those corn dogs must have been great to get a salute. Way to go Trina.
