Halloween Week

Yesterday was such a lazy day for us. We stayed home and went no where and didn't have the urge to go anywhere either. I'm sorry to say that Asa and I were couch potato's. Josh worked the night before so he slept most of the day. Now I'm ready to start the week, feeling refreshed.

The downpours of rain has started. It didn't really let up all weekend. I am going to try to figure out a way to get some exercise for Asa and I while it's miserable outside. Any ideas? Other than work out videos?

Halloween was so fun. I loved seeing all the cute costumes. We go on Main street in a little town near our bigger city. Very small town. We saw friends and family that we haven't seen in a while. I loved watching Valentina in her little stroller trick or treating and Asa had a fellow stormtrooper to walk. He actually left my side and wasn't afraid of the scarier costumes. He is growing up and starting to be more independent. It was the best Halloween ever. Now I have to take down the decorations. I should have done that yesterday, but again, we were couch potato's.

Saturday was Asa's last fall soccer game. After there was a pizza party and Asa got to say his good bye's to his little friends. Good new, the coach will be coaching Spring too. That's a relief. Having a new coach every season is kind of hard on Mum. After the game we went to my girlfriends for a baby shower. Our friend is adopting from Ethiopia and we are all so excited for her and her husband. It has been a long road for them, as with all my fellow adoptive moms. I can't wait to meet the little one in person.

I think this was Monday. Asa was riding around in his Jeep. I always make Asa show me that the brakes are working before he starts tearing around the yard. I was giving a thumbs up. Brakes are working properly. Trying to spin out. I could tell in his eyes that he was thinking about something.
Yup, he was thinking of something dangerous to do.

He started jumping off the Jeep. He thought he was really cool.
He told me he was doing Power Ranger moves. I took so many pictures of him doing this over and over again. After each jump, he would come to me and look at the picture. He would say "wait Mum, I'm going to do another one".

Oops, busted. I didn't know that Daddy has said NO JUMPING.

Asa and I just playing around.

He's busy engineering.

"where do I start"

Soccer practice. It was such a beautiful day. I love the colors

Wipe Out. When he's playing soccer, he can get hurt and he never cries. Once, after he had fallen on the field, a team mate stepped on his face with his cleats and Asa got a deep gouge in his cheek. Asa just kept brushing it with his hands and he was fine. He always has a smile on his face when he plays soccer.

This is at Sissy's birthday dinner. Look how happy she is. My niece is gorgeous.

Sissy's pretty gorgeous too. Sangria...yum:)
Mom had been trying to decorate this plain T for a few months now. She bought quite a few embellishments and she just didn't like how it would look. She knew she wanted a Halloween shirt though. This is her finished product. It turned out pretty cute. I told her it didn't even really look like a Grandma shirt! This shirt is a collectors item.

At lunch before trick or treating. We took the kids to Thai food, since it's pretty much their favorite and we figured they would get their tummy's really full before they started in on candy.

Oh, my girls

You can't go trick or treating with out a refreshing Thai beer first. When Valentina saw this being served to me she said "beer, TT beer".

This picture is priceless and brings tears to my eyes.

This one too:)

My friend Laurie's son B. was a stormtrooper too. Asa LOVED IT! I loved it too. I actually got a break from playing blaster.

Mr. Independent

Miss independent, when she wants to be. She just wanted to be catered to while trick or treating.

My sweet boy

At Auntie Lori's house. She spoils these two. They are her only trick or treaters and she decorates her place so cute for them.

Saturday morning before Soccer. "ASA, Halloween was YESTERDAY!"

Our little crocodile team. Doing their last hooray of the season. One of the little boys wanted to wear his costume. He looked so cute chasing after the ball in his costume. Coach said OK since it was a purple costume.

Staying dry.
Another fun week for us all. Now we are raring and ready to go for Josh's 30th birthday, Mom's birthday, Valentina's coming home day and Thanksgiving.

The fall color in the trees are beautiful. You got some awesome pictures of Asa in action. Sorry Daddy busted him, I guess that ended the photo shoot.
Looks like Halloween was a fun time.
